2015 Grand National Roadster Show

1/27/2015

This past weekend we had the pleasure of participating in the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona. We had a booth inside the Suede Palace, which in our humble opinion is the best place in the whole show. The focus is kept on traditional hot rods and custom cars, many of them built and driven by local Southern California car clubs.  DJ Axle plays badass music in there throughout the weekend and had some great bands to perform.  Gorgeous cars, good music, camaraderie.....that makes for a damn good weekend if you ask us!

The best part for us is getting to meet SO many fellow enthusiasts from all over, many being veterans to the custom car world with a wealth of knowledge and plenty of stories from "back in the day". We appreciate everyone who took the time to stop by our booth and check us out. We received many compliments about our products and lots of words of encouragement, which is SO VERY much appreciated. Many thanks to all of you!

Here's some eye candy from the show.
Cheers!

The Rich Pichette Alzheimers Awareness Mercury-More than just a badass car

9/23/2014

Recently, Spotlite Kustom Accessories had the pleasure of contributing to a very awesome cause, the Rich Pichette Alzheimer's Awareness Project.

Rich was a huge influence in keeping the spirit of kustom cars and everything that makes the culture great alive on the west coast. He founded West Coast Kustoms and started West Coast Kustoms' Cruisin' Nationals car show, or "Paso" as most of us called it. Sadly, he passed away in 2010 after battling Alzheimer's Disease. To honor him and raise awareness of this tragic and all too common disease, a '54 custom Mercury (given the name "Memories")  is being built by several talented builders. After completion, the Merc will be auctioned off at Barret Jackson Auction and all proceeds will go to the Alzheimers Association.

Shortly after our Ford/Mercury Hood Hinges went on the market, we got in contact with the guys behind the project, who were on the hunt for new hinges. As soon as we heard story behind this build, we decided to donate a pair of hinges for the car. They were installed with ease and are working out great. We're stoked to have contributed to this amazing cause, and you should definitely check out the website and consider making a donation or even just spreading the word!
